Disha Patani in Sangamithra?

While the announcement about Kalakalappu 2 by Sundar C and team had given the feeling that the director’s magnum opus Sangamithra which was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival was put in the backburner, there are also talks about its leading lady.

Disha Patani who was seen in MS Dhoni, the untold story, Befikre and the likes is said to have been brought on board Sangamithra. She would be taking up the place of Shruti Haasan who was initially signed to play the lead role but later walked out of the project citing the lack of availability of a bound script. There were numerous speculations about the heroine for this film which ranged from Hansika to Nayanthara.

Sundar C’s wife Kushbu also took to Twitter to confirm that Sangamithra is not shelved and the shooting will begin from December 2017. Click the Movie button below for more info:
