Divya Sathyaraj, daughter of actor Sathyaraj is a dietician who has her private practice in the city. She also conducts awareness camps for Tamil refugees.

Recently she had a harrowing experience in her clinic when two foreigners walked into her clinic and forced her to prescribe some unwarranted steroids. Pharmaceutical manufacturers from America tried to bribe and threaten her to prescribe supplements with steroids and harmful ingredients to her patients. She asked them to get out of her clinic and apparently they had verbally abused her and talked ill of Indian dieticians.

Not the one to take this lightly, Divya Sathyaraj has written an open letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to prevent unapproved and dangerous medicines in India. She has also expressed her concern about NEET exams and has requested the prime minister to look into medical negligence and malpractice in medical admissions.
