Don't misinterpret Dandanakka, Jayam Ravi appeals to fans

Jayam Ravi is working in his next film Romeo Juliet where he is paired with Hansika. The film said to be a romantic comedy is fast reaching the finish line. Lakshman directs the film while Imman scores music and Sownderrajan handles camera.

Recently, music composer Anirudh sang a number Dandanakka and the phrase is generally associated with T Rajender who uses the term quite frequently. In the film Jayam Ravi comes across as an ardent fan of T Rajender and he has used the song to play a tribute of sorts to the veteran.

But, unfortunately, this is being seen as a spoof by many in the online world and there are videos making fun of this which led Jayam Ravi to clarify his stance. He said in continuous tweets, “#Dandanakka is a tribute to the multifaceted personality T.Rajendar sir as I play the role of his fan in my upcoming movie #RomeoJuliet. However certain videos are showing TR sir in bad light which has hurt the sentiments of people involved in this song.
