Dora director clarifies on the plagiarism issue

Upcoming film Dora is directed by Doss Ramasamy and features Nayanthara, Harish Uthaman and others. The film is about a car which is possessed and the resulting incidents.

Recently the film got into a controversy when someone alleged that the story of Dora is his and had lodged a complaint with the Writers’ Union. Apparently the Writer’s Union read the stories of both the parties and certified that they are both different.

Issuing a press statement to this effect, Doss Ramasamy says, “I had already registered my story one year ago in the Writer’s Union. But someone had registered a story three months ago and claimed that his story and mine are the same. He has been spreading wrong information in media and social media about this and I had complained about this to the Writers Union. The members of the Union read both the stories and have clearly certified that both the stories are different and have no connection with each other whatsoever”.
