'Emergency' locked for release

Actress Kangana Ranaut's upcoming political period drama, 'Emergency,' will hit the screens on June 14. The actress plays the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie, which also marks her second directorial after ‘Manikarnika’.

‘Emergency’ had been delayed several times. In October 2023, Kangana announced that the political drama had been postponed to 2024 due to the 'jam-packed' second quarter of 2023. Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, ‘Emergency’ is a mega budget depiction of the most controversial spectacle in the history of Indian Democracy.

Kangana, who has also written and produced the film, announced the release date of the flick on social media. The film also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and the late Satish Kaushik in key roles.
