Sep 19, 2014 NR

Ashutosh Gowariker, returning to the small screen with the fiction drama 'EVEREST' to air on Star Plus, thinks keeping TV audience hooked to a show is very challenging nowadays.

Gowariker, who has written and produced the upcoming show, says if the TV audience don't find the content interesting, they will instantly hit the remote and move on to other programmes, a choice that the Cinema audience don't have.

“The audience is always interested in something that captivates them. You lose them in about 30 seconds...the challenge is much more”, said the director of films like "Lagaan" and "Jodhaa Akbar".

'EVEREST' is about the struggle of a daughter, who in order to gain her father's acceptance decides to climb the highest mountain of the world - Mount Everest. Gowariker promises cinematic grandeur on the small screen with his show.
