Films for Pongal 2015

It is the usual trend of the film makers wanting to release their films for the festival season as that would bring more patronage to their films. In that sense, the heat for the Pongal race for Tamil films has begun and the list is getting finalized now.

Initially, the most awaited film of Ajith, Yennai Arindhaal was said to meet its date with the theatres for Pongal. But the release now is postponed to 29th of January. This has created space for other films and the list has come to three films now.

Aascar Films, producers of Vikram starrer Shankar directorial I has announced that they would release their long-in-the-making film on the 14th of January. Vishal’s Aambala directed by Sundar C was the first one to announce their release date as 14th January. Now the latest entrant to this race is the G V Prakash starrer horror thriller Darling, directed by Sam Anton that would release on the 15th January.
