Foundation stone for Nadigar Sangam building laid

The foundation stone for the Nadigar Sangam was laid today, the 31st March at Habibulah Road, T Nagar, Chennai. It was attended by many artists such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Sivakumar, Vishal, Nasser, Simbu, Simran, Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sibi Raj, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj and many others.

Originally, they had planned to start the function with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan keeping the first stone but since Kamal was not in Chennai and was returning home from London, he was able to make to the function only around 12 noon. Speaking to the media later, Kamal said, “I am happy to see a long cherished dream coming true. I am sure Nadigar Sangam building will emerge as a great fort.”

The function was also attended by South Indian Chamber, Stunt Union, Dance Union, Drivers Union, Fefsi Union, Photographer Union, Cinematographer Union, Editor Union, PRO Union, Cinema Pathirikaiyalar Union, Music Union & Other 24 Crafts.
