Four Malayalam movies to celebrate Eid

The industry will have a grand Ramzan release with a number of movies hitting theaters this week. There were no big releases in the last few weeks.

Mammootty’s ‘Kasaba’, ‘Manju Warier’s ‘Karingunnam 6s’, Jayasurya-Kunchacko Boban team’s ‘Shahjahanum Pareekkuttiyum’, and Asif Ali- Biju Menon team’s ‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’ are releasing this week.

Mammootty’s ‘Kasaba’, the debut directorial venture of Nithin Renji Panicker, will reach the screens on July 7, Thursday.

Mammootty does C I Rajan Zacharia. Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi is the heroine. Sampath, Jagadish, and Neha Saxena are the other main actors. ‘Kasaba’ is produced by Alice George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment and the film is distributed by Anto Joseph Film Company.

Deepu Karunakaran’s ‘Karingunnam 6s’ starring Manju Warier in the lead role will be released on July 6th. Manju Warier does volleyball coach Vandana, who trains jail inmates. Anoop Menon does the role of her husband, Aby. ‘Karingunnam 6s’ is produced by Anil Biswas and Jayalal Menon under the banner of Backwater Studios.

‘Shahjahanum Pareekkuttiyum’ featuring Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya, and Amala Paul in the main roles will hit theaters on July 6th. ‘Shahjahanum Pareekkuttiyum’ is produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions.‘Shahjahanum Pareekkuttiyum’ is a romantic comedy film directed by Boban Samuel. Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Lena, Nadirshah, Vinayaprasad, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sunil Sugatha, and Vijayaraghavan play the other main roles.

‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’ directed by debutant Khalid Rahman is yet another movie to reach theaters for this Ramzan. Asif Ali and Biju Menon play the main roles. ‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’ is scripted by Naveen Bhaskar. New face Rejisha Vijayan is the heroine. Asha Sarath, Sudhi Koppa, and Sreenath Bhasi play the other major roles. The movie is produced by Prithviraj, Shaji Nadesan, Santhosh Sivan, and Arya under the banner of August Cinema.
