Gautami complains about non-payment of salary by Kamal Haasan

Actress Gautami was Kamal Haasan’s partner for 13 years but she announced her break-up from the actor in October 2016 through a statement. Now she has followed it up with one more statement that has many complaints against the actor. An excerpt is as follows:

"I have absolutely nothing to do with him or his actions in any way, professionally, personally, politically or otherwise. We parted ways in October 2016 and it greatly grieves me that as of October, 2016, I had salary dues pending right from earlier films like Dasavataram, Vishwaroopam, etc. The pending salary dues were the only financial resource at the time for rebuilding my life. I had made repeated efforts to recover the payments from Kamal Haasan and Rajkamal Films International (RKFI)”.

She also added, “During the nearly thirteen years of our life together, the work that I did as Costume Designer, was only for films produced by Raajkamal Films International, (RKFI), and for films that Haasan made for other producers. And this was my primary source of income as my working both in front of and behind the camera in other’s projects was actively discouraged”.

She also clarified that Shruti Haasan was not to blame for the breakdown of her relationship with Kamal and that the reason for the break-up rests entirely on Haasan’s change in commitment and her inability to accept that compromise.
