Gautham Karthik to remake Ullathai Allitha!
Nov 5, 2013 SVGautham Karthik, son of erstwhile hero Karthik, made a successful debut with Kadal. After that he is busy with three films and all of them are presently under production. Even as these three films are happening, the young hero clearly expressed his desire to remake his father’s blockbuster comedy film Ullathai Allitha. He mentioned this at the press conference of his upcoming film Yennamo Yedho. “I would like to express my interest in working on a remake of my father's projects like 'Ullathai Allitha' and 'Pista'. I must confess I have not watched all the movies of my grandfather, but I have not missed a single one of my father's, and these two are trend setting films, which I would like to remake and present in a new package."
Gautham believes that it will reveal the different side of the actor in him. Most of the films which he is doing will be showing him as a lover boy. But Ullathai Allitha will help him sharpen his comedy talents as well. The film directed by Sundar C was a super hit for his father which featured Rambha as heroine along with Goundamani and Senthil in important roles.
At the moment, Gautham is busy with director Aishwarya Dhanush's Vai Raja Vai with Priya Anand, Saravanan's Sippai with Lakshmi Menon and Thyagarajan’s Yennamo Yedho with Rakul Preet Singh and Nikesha Patel playing the female leads.
