Gwyneth Paltrow files for divorce from Chris Martin after 'consciously uncoupling' in 2014

After being separated from singer Chris Martin since 2012, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has finally filed for divorce from the Coldplay frontman.

The actress has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

The now estranged couple first announced their split in March 2014, declaring that after 10 years of marriage they would be “consciously uncoupling”.

According to the divorce papers, they had been separated for almost a year before that announcement.

Paltrow and Martin have two children, Apple, 10, and Moses, eight. The “Iron Man” actress is to seek joint custody of their children.

Paltrow and Martin's business managers have been working out the terms of their split, including financial assets and custody of their children, a source was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Martin has been spotted with actress Jennifer Lawrence on several occasions fuelling relationship rumours with “The Hunger Games” actress.
