High Court dismisses a case against Kaala

It is good news for Rajini fans that his film Kaala would hit the screens soon as the strike in the industry is over now. Added to this joy, there is one more which comes from Chennai High court which dismissed a plea made by K.S. Rajasekaran of Vinmeen Creations to restrain producers Wunderbar Films from releasing the movie on the ground of infringement of copyright over the storyline as well as the title.

Justice C.V. Karthikeyan also refused to declare that the petitioner was the owner of the story as well as the title. The judge ruled that the petitioner had not made out any case either to seek an injunction against the release or a declaration claiming right over the title and the storyline.

The petitioner had also not produced his storyline before the court though he had claimed that the story of Kaala alias Karikalan was his. Such failure on the part of the petitioner was sufficient to draw an inference that he had not produced the storyline only because it would be adverse to his interests.
