High court refuses to stay the summons for Beep song
Dec 18, 2015 JBAfter the Chennai floods which completely shook its residents and tossed their life apart, there came another seemingly burning problem which is the beep song.
This song allegedly composed by Anirudh and sung by Simbu has ruffled a lot of feathers, especially women who feel that they have been derogated by the young Simbu and Anirudh with crass lyrics.
A women’s group in Coimbatore went ahead in step to file a complaint against the duo and wanted the police to arrest them. The Madras high court on Thursday declined to stay the operation of the summons issued by the Coimbatore police against actor Simbu and music director Anirudh. Justice R Subbiah who declined to stay the operation of the summons, posted to January 5, further hearing of the petition filed by Simbu and Anirudh, challenging the summons, which required them to appear before the Race Course police on December 19.
