HNY hits the Rs.100 Cr mark in record time

King Khan's entertainer "Happy New Year", released last Friday, collects Rs.108.86 crore from the biggest-ever opening weekend for an Indian movie.


Produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. (RCE), it raked in Rs.104.10 crore in Hindi, Rs.2.92 crore in Telugu dubbed version and Rs.1.84 crore in its Tamil dubbed version. HNY has become the highest opening weekend ranker in Indian films so far, read a statement.


"We are thrilled that after ‘Chennai Express’ had set a new record in 2013, ‘Happy New Year’ has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience”, said Venky Mysore, CEO of RCE.
