Renowned film-maker Rajkumar Hirani, known for the "Munna Bhai" series and "3 Idiots", says he finds joy in making only originals, and that he will not make any remakes till the time his mind is functioning well.

"I think many people make remakes. I have not seen any remakes in the recent past. I think many like to recycle the old stories, but I don't have anything against people who make remakes."

"I feel I will make original films as long as I can. Till my mind is functioning, I will make original films as the joy is greater with these films", Hirani told reporters while presenting the film "Anand" at the 16th Mumbai Film Festival.

Hirani on Friday presented Hrishikesh Mukherjee's "Anand" at the gala, and says he loves the film-maker's works as well as those of Gulzar, who wrote the movie.

"I grew up watching Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films. I think I was in primary when I watched 'Anand'. It just caught my attention... the way the film was written. I am a big fan of Gulzar and Hrishikesh Mukherjee. I just love them."

"I liked the performance of each and every character in the film - be it Amitabh Bachchan or Rajesh Khanna, everyone was so good. 'Anand' inspired me to make films", he said.
