Ilayaraja might compose for Vai Ko's film

Earlier on we had reported that politician Vai Ko would be bankrolling a film on the Tamil freedom fighter Velu Naachiyaar which would be directed by Sriram Sharma. His wife Manimekalai Sharma would be doing the title role in this film.

As per the latest update, music composer Ilayaraja might be scoring the music for this film. It’s being said that Vaiko and Ilayaraja met recently and discussed the possible collaboration. Velu Naachiyaar was the queen of Sivagangai in the 18th century, and fought against the British in pre-independence India.

If Ilayaraja hops on board this film, it is sure to increase the expectation level of the venture manifold. With his tremendous experience and expertise, he is the right choice and let us wait for an official update on this.
