Indian 2 will be a bilingual

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is busy right now winding up his much popular TV reality show Bigg Boss in Tamil which will witness the grand finale today, the 30th September. Meanwhile he is also clear about his political entry.

A few days ago, we had reported that he would soon be teaming with director Shankar for the sequel of Indian 2. Looks like an official announcement of the same will be made by Kamal today, later in the day. The film will reportedly be made on a budget of Rs 180 crore, which will be bankrolled by Tollywood’s popular filmmaker Dil Raju. Indian 2 is a bilingual film that will be made in Tamil and Telugu, while it will be dubbed into other languages and in Hindi it will be called as Hindusthani 2.

Indian was one of the biggest hits of Shankar that happened during the early days of his career as a director. The film revolves around a 70-year-old vigilante played by Kamal, who is on a mission to weed out corruption in the government departments. It is, however, unclear if Indian 2 is a new story or continuation of the 1996 thriller. The shooting of the film is likely to begin from April, 2018.
