Ineya replaces Varalaxmi Sarathkumar

Samuthirakani’s Appa is being remade in Malayalam as Aakasha Mittayee with the actor cum director wielding the directorial baton in Malayalam too. The film also has Jayaram in important role.

Aakasha Mittayee was in the limelight yesterday as Varalaxmi who was roped into play the female lead walked out lambasting the producers as chauvinists and mannerless. This had got the major attention yesterday. Varalaxmi also tweeted saying that she was glad about the support she got from Jayaram and Samuthirakani.

Today, Ineya of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame has replaced Varalaxmi’s role and she was quoted as saying, “I play Jayaram’s wife in the film and my role will be crucial to the progress of the film.
