Jayam Ravi's Miruthan selected for Fantasia International Film Festival 2016, Canada

Jayam Ravi-Lakshmi Menon starrer Miruthan has been nominated for official screening at Fantasia International Festival in Canada 2016. Miruthan which was released a few weeks back was said to be the first Tamil film based on zombies. The film was met with a mixed response and there were also reviews that stated that Tamil cinema is yet to wake up to the idea of zombies.


The film was directed by Sakthi Soundarajan and was produced by S. Michael Rayappan of Global Infotainment. Imman has scored for the film and Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for Munnaal Kaadhali which was much liked by the audience.


Jayam Ravi is so much elated over the film being selected for screening at a prestigious International Film Festival. He says, “I am so happy that Miruthan is indeed one and only Tamil film after Superstar Rajnikanth’s Enthiran to be screened at same festival based on global panorama of cinema”.
