Jayaram in Samuthirakkani's debut Malayalam directorial

Tamil director and actor Samuthirakkani is making his debut directorial in Malayalam. This is the remake of the Tamil movie ‘Appa’, written, produced, and directed by Samuthirakkani himself.

Jayaram plays the lead role. Asha Sarath will play the female lead opposite Jayaram. Tamil actor Thambi Ramayya may reprise his character in the Tamil film.

Samuthirakkani has made movies in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. This is for the first time that he is making a movie in Malayalam. Meanwhile, he has acted in various Malayalam movies.
