Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult open up about photo-hacking scandal
Oct 11, 2014 NRActress Jennifer Lawrence has described the photo hack which leaked her nude photographs as a "sexual violation".
Talking to Vanity Fair magazine, Lawrence said: "It's not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed and we need to change."
She also hit back at the critics who believe she was wrong to take the intimate photos in the first place, as she argued that she was in a long-distance relationship with her now ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult when the images were taken.
"I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you,” she said.
Actor Nicholas Hoult has broken his silence too about the leaked nude photographs of his former girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, branding the hacking a "shame".
During a visit to a US TV show Thursday, Hoult opened up about the hacking for the first time, saying: "It's shocking that things like that happen in the world. It's a shame."
Ironically, Hoult was on the show to promote his new film “Young Ones” alongside director Jake Paltrow, who is Gwyneth Paltrow's brother and former brother-in-law of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who is rumoured to be currently dating Lawrence.
