Johnny Depp to promote 'Transcendence' in China

Los Angeles, March 21 (IANS) Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will travel to China later this month to promote his forthcoming sci-fi thriller "Transcendence".

It will be Depp's first trip to China, where he is scheduled to make appearances with some of the country's top actors, music stars and artists, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Depp is expected to arrive in Beijing March 31. His visit is being arranged by Beijing-based studio DMG, co-producers of "Transcendence" with Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros.

"Transcendence" will release in the US April 18. The China release date is expected to be announced soon.
