Jyothika to do Tumhari Sulu remake in Tamil

Even as she is basking in the plaudits and applause that she has been receiving for her sterling performance in Bala’s Naachiyaar, trade is abuzz with the talks about her next project.

Incidentally, it will be the remake of the Hindi film Tumhari Sulu which fetched Vidya Balan her Filmfare award. The remake in Tamil will be directed by Radha Mohan who had earlier worked with Jyothika in Mozhi, where she played a hearing and speech impaired strong girl.

Reports suggest that Jyothika was very impressed with Vidya Balan’s role of a middle-class ambitious housewife who turns a radio jockey on a late night relationship advice show. Right now, the Thirumalai actress has been having the purplest patch in her second innings with performance oriented roles. She is currently busy with Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which is being shot in the city.
