K S Ravikumar says, Lingaa is not stolen

Some time back an aspiring director Ravi Rathinam alleged that Lingaa is his story Mullai Vanam 999 and claimed that director K S Ravikmar has stolen his story to make the film. He had filed a case in the High Court and asked for a stay order on the film.


Filing a counter affidavit yesterday, (18th November), K S Ravikumar states that the story of Lingaa is written by Ponkumaran of Chennai who had registered his story with the title King Khan in 2010 with the South Indian Film Writer’s Association.


Ravikumar says that he has done the screenplay for the story and has added many elements to it. He furthers that there is no truth in what Ravirathinam says but has only the intention of gaining his two minute fame. Ponkumaran has also filed a separate but identical counter affidavit echoing Ravikumar’s stance. Click the Movie button below for more info:
