Kabilan Vairamuthu in a 'political' controversy

Oct 7, 2015 JB

Kabilan Vairamuthu the second son of Kavi Perarasu Vairamuthu appears to be in the middle of a mindless controversy and that too a political one at that.

He had written the lyrics for two songs in the horror flick, Peigal Jaagirathai. The album was launched on October 4th and there are these lines “Veppa Maram Saanjalum Velakkamaru Jeichalum” in the promotional song of the film directed by Kanmani.

Apparently people are feeling that Kabilan was talking about Aam Aadmi Party, whose election symbol is the broomstick. But Kabilan clarified his stance, saying that the word broomstick was used to indicate to get rid of ghosts, and that it had no other dimension to it.

He also wondered why people make mountains out of molehills and especially with harmless things such as these.
