Kalabhavan Mani passes away

Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away last evening around 7.20 PM at Kochi Amrita Hospital. He was 45 and is survived by wife Nimmi and daughter Sri Lakshmi. He was suffering from liver and kidney related ailments for which he was undergoing treatment at the hospital.


He began his career as an auto driver who later went on to do many mimicry shows. His first film in Malayalam was Aksharam and he did many films in Mollywood and later shifted base to Tamil and Telugu.


In Tamil he became popular with Vikram’s Gemini and later on went on to do films like Enthiran, Papanasam, Aaru, Kuthu, Bose etc. He had won National Award for his Malayalam film Vaasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinna Nyaanum and has also won Kerala State Award. Nowrunning offers its condolences to his family and prays for Kalabhavan Mani’s soul to rest in peace.
