Kamal Haasan and Amala Akkineni after 27 years

Kamal Haasan and Amala was a raving pair in the 80s and 90s. Their chemistry in Sathya is talked about even now. This pair will be seen together on screen after 27 years for a trilingual, in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam which will be directed by Rajeev Kumar. Incidentally Rajeev Kumar had directed Kamal in the superhit Chanakyan 1989.

The film is said to focus on romance and comedy with family sentiments. While Amala will be playing a cameo, Zarina Wahab, yesteryear actress who had featured in Madanolsavam with Kamal and the recent Viswaroopam as a doctor, will be playing an important role.

The Telugu version of the film is titled as Amma Nanna Aata in Telugu and the Tamil and Malayalam titles will be announced soon. With three quick, quality films in 2015, Kamal is said to plan this film also as a quickie which is likely to hit the screens by March 2016.
