Kamal Haasan and Shruti issue statements on Gautami split

Gautami, the 13 year live-in partner of Kamal Haasan had announced her decision to split with Ulaganayagan a couple of days ago. In the wake of this, there are many theories and speculations that are doing the rounds about the reason for their split. There was also a note in Tamil which appeared to have come from Kamal himself.

But the actor was quick to respond through his Twitter handle that it is totally uncivilized and immature that someone is using this opportunity to issue statement under his name. He also said that he is not going to issue any statement in connection with this.

Later on his elder daughter Shruti Haasan also sent a press note through a spokesperson which stated, “Shruti has never commented on anyone's personal life and their decisions. For her, what matters most is standing by, loving and respecting her family - her parents and her sister, no matter what”.
