Mirchi remake strikes gold in Kannada

Rebel Star Prabhas' blockbuster film Mirchi was recently remade in Kannada with Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role as "Maanikya". The film was a blockbuster in Kannada too and minted Rs.14 crore on its opening weekend.

The movie was released as May Day Special in Katnataka and went on to be become a blockbuster. It was made on a budget of 18 Crores and managed a whopping 14 Crore in the first weekend itself. Trade Analysts believe that the film will collect 20 Crore in the first week of its release.
