Karthick Naren-Dhanush film titled 'Maaran'

Actor Dhanush's next project with director Karthick Naren has been titled "Maaran." The film was tentatively titled "D43" earlier. The first look of the movie was released on Wednesday, which marks the 38th birthday of Dhanush.

Sharing the first look poster, Karthick Naren tweeted: "His courage is his weapon🔥Proudly presenting the first look of #Maaran … Happy birthday @dhanushkraja sir🤗 @gvprakash @SathyaJyothi_ #D43 #MaaranFirstLook #HappyBirthdayDhanush."

The team is filming in Hyderabad now and recently Malavika Mohanan and Master Mahendran also joined the shooting for the film.

The first look poster features Dhanush holding a pen in his hand and crashing another person's head on to a glass table with his other hand. The other person can be seen holding a gun in his hand. While Dhanush can be seen in an intense look, in the four reflections on the shattering glass pieces, he is seen in four different expressions.

Produced by Sathya Jyothi films, the film has Malavika Mohan playing the female lead. The film's cast also includes Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat and Krishnakumar. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music.
