Karthik Subbaraj to direct Prabhudeva

Dhanush was to work with director Karthik Subbaraj in a film for which the shoot was scheduled to happen in the US. But it looks like the venture is pushed to the backburner for a while as Dhanush has gotten busy with his other commitments.

Meanwhile it has been reported that the Jigarthanda director had signed Prabhu Deva for his next and that Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde has been approached for the heroine’s role.

But Samyuktha has been criticized for choosing a Tamil film over a Kannada film Kaleej Kumar. She was trolled and was trending on social media. However, the producers of Kaleej Kumar have sorted out issues by holding a meeting. The Kirik Party actress clarified her stance by posting a message on her Facebook page that read, “Kannada is my mother tongue and I respect it immensely. Before judging, please know the truth and understand the situation. Everything you see and listen to on TV isn’t true. And I didn’t give any offensive statements. My language is my love and I don’t need anyone to explain it to me”.
