Karthik Subbaraj to filmmaker's rescue

Director Karthik Subbaraj who made Pizza and Jigarthanda has started a new initiative called the Stone Bench which was inaugurated yesterday (10th November) at Sathyam Cinemas Chennai. The Stone Bench has three divisions that are aimed at helping short film makers, documentary film makers, artists and the industry as such.

Bench Flix is for short film makers and documentary film makers who can submit their entry through their online platform. Karthik Subbaraj along with his creative team will shortlist and select films which will be promoted and given good reach through theatres, film festivals, television etc.

Bench Cast will help aspiring actors and actresses to get the right kind of project. This will act as the bridge between talents and film makers who are looking for the right kind of faces for their films. Bench Subs is the division that would subtitle all the films- feature or short or documentary and give a wider reach. The event was attended by the popular celebs from the industry and was much appreciated.
