Kartik Aaryan signed up for ‘Aashiqui 3'

Actor Kartik Aaryan has been roped in to play the lead in ‘Aashiqui 3’, the third instalment of the hit franchise ‘Aashiqui’. The film will be directed by Anurag Basu. The female lead of the film has not been announced yet.

Released in 1990, ‘Aashiqui,’ backed by T-Series and Vishesh Films, was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal played the lead roles. In 2013, ‘Aashiqui 2’, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, was released.

Taking to Instagram, Kartik also shared a group photo on Monday. The photo featured Kartik along with Anurag, music composer Pritam, Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar.
