Kavya Madhavan in the fray for best actress award

Actress Kavya Madhavan has been nominated for the Best Actress award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, which will be held in Melbourne, Australia from August 10 to 22.

Her performance in the film “ Pinneyum,” directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, has earned her a place in the competition for Best Actress. Kavya is the sole representative of Malayalam Cinema in the award category.

She essays the character Devi in the Dileep starrer film. Kavya will vie for the award along with Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Sha and Tanishtha Chatterjee et. al.
