Mumbai: Debutant director Ashok Yadav's "Kerry On Kutton", which was to release in May, will now hit the screens on July 1 after getting due permission from the Animal Welfare Board of India, as the film has some scenes featuring dogs.

"We were awaiting to obtain an NOC (no objection certificate) from the Animal Welfare Board of India and thereby a go-ahead from the censor board which took a little long," Yadav said in a statement.

"So, yes, we are finally releasing on July 1 and I am sure people will enjoy and relate with this movie which is based on the lives of four teenagers, who have been raised in the distorted environment of Baliya in Uttar Pradesh," he added.

The director as also concerned about getting "good space" at the box office and "not a clash with movies like 'Sarbjit'".

The movie, described by Yadav as a coming-of-age tale, will be launching two new faces Karan Mahavar and Aradhana Jagota. It also features actors Satyajeet Dubey and Aditya Kumar.
