Kushboo joins Congress

Actress Kushboo was an active member and a star campaigner for Karunanidhi’s DMK. She is also a vociferous speaker. But, of late, talks were going around that she was not quite happy with the political party.

Now she has joined Congress after meeting with the party President Sonia Gandhi accompanied by Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President E V K S Elangovan and Mukul Wasnik, general secretary. When asked about why she had joined Congress, the actress replied, “This is a homecoming for me; my family has always been supporting the Congress. It is a moment of pride for me that I am at a place where I always wanted to be.”

When asked about why left the DMK the actress said that she did not want to reveal the reasons and also sharply said, “You know them anyway”. Later she also met Rahul Gandhi, Congress Vice President.
