Lakshmi Manchu in Tumhari Sulu remake

Tumhari Sulu, the Hindi film that talked about a housewife getting her dues as an RJ in a radio station is being remade in Tamil. The film is produced by G Dhananjayan for his BOFTA films and would be directed by Radha Mohan. Jyothika will be reprising the role of Vidya Balan in Tamil.

Now for the latest update, Lakshmi Manchu has been roped in to do the role of Neha Dhupia from the original. Neha Dhupia played the station head in Tumhari Sulu and had come across as a stylish working woman.

Looks like Lakshmi Manchu also would love to sport classier and stylish costumes. She was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal. While talking about the project, Lakshmi says, “I haven’t seen the original yet, but heard a lot of good reviews about it. I’ve got the DVD and shall watch it immediately. The characterization will be the same; you’ll see me play the station head of a radio channel like Neha Dhupia did in the original. Also, in Tumhari Sulu, Neha was seen sporting a very stylish look, so I was very particular that I get to look stylish too in the remake.
