Lakshmi Menon croons a song

There is a recent trend in the Malayalam and Tamil industry among the music directors to make actors and actresses acting in the movie to sing a song of the movie.

In Malayalam many stars have crooned songs in movies. The Tamil industry also had turned many actors to singers. Into that group has joined Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon. Lakshmi Menon sings for the Tamil movie ‘Oru Oorla Randu Raja’. She sings the song beginning “Aanjadi ammadi ambayil pootha ponne…” The music is tuned by D Imman.

This is a peppy song and Imman suggests Lakshmi for the song. He has heard Lakshmi sang a song during the promotional program of the movie ‘Kumki’. ‘Oru Oorla Randu Raja’ is directed by R Kannan. The film features Vimal and Priya Anand in the lead roles.

Lakshmi had studied music and she says that she loves to sing and will accept if more offers come her way.
