Lalgudi Ilayaraja for Dhanush's film

Dhanush had recently announced that he would start work on his second directorial. Last year, he had forayed into direction with Power Pandi which was a well appreciated attempt.

We had recently reported that Thenandal Film Studios would be bankrolling Dhanush’s second directorial venture which is touted to be a period flick set in the pre-independence era.

It’s now reported that National Award-winning art director Lalgudi Ilayaraja has been roped in for this film. Known for his work in films such as Kaththi, Arrambam and last year’s Aramm, the art director won his National Award for Vishwaroopam.

On the acting front, Dhanush has quite a few films which are in various stages of production. They are Enai Noki Paayum Thota with Gautham Menon, Vada Chennai with Vetri Maaran and the Hollywood flick, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir.
