Lawrence in Mannan remake

Lawrence Raghava is awaiting his next release Motta Siva Ketta Siva and he is in the process of completing P Vasu’s Shivalinga for which Anirudh had recently lent his voice for Thaman’s music.

Now there are talks that Lawrence will be remaking Rajinikanth’s hit film Mannan which had Vijayshanthi and Khushbu as heroines. Lawrence is likely to reprise the role of Superstar Rajinikanth in this remake which would be funded by Sivaji Productions.

Mannan although was a hit, it did not go well with women audiences as the film was full of misogynist dialogues. But the comedy element which was taken care of by Goundamani and Rajinikanth were well received and also the songs. It is said that Vadivelu will be reprising Goundamani’s role and Kovai Sarala will be taking over Manorama’s role in this remake.
