Lingaa and I on the same day?

Director Shankar’s magnum opus I had its grand gala audio release some time back with Arnold Schwarzenegger, superstar Rajinikanth and many other glitterati attending the event. A R Rahman’s songs continue to rule the charts.

At the time of audio release, the crew had a couple of songs to be shot. They had completed the same and the team went on to complete post-production. Now the film is ready for release and if reliable sources are to be trusted, the producers are vying for a second week December release which incidentally is the 12th of December, the birthday of superstar Rajinikanth.

There are also talks that Rajini’s Lingaa directed by K S Ravikumar has plans to release on the same day, i.e., the 12th of December. Although the movie fans might relish the news, it may not be good for trade purposes as it would affect the collections of both the films. Official information on this is expected soon.
