Lingaa distributors to be compensated soon

Jan 28, 2015 JB

Rajinikanth’s Lingaa produced by Rockline Venkatesh and directed by K S Ravikumar hit the screens on 12th December 2014. Although the film was much awaited by the audience, it did not satisfy their expectations and was met with mixed response.

The film as per trade circles did not do well and the distributors are said to have suffered losses. Later they went on a hunger strike and demanded that their losses be compensated. After many discussions and meetings, looks like the distributors would be paid a fair share of their losses.

Veteran film distributor Tirupur Subramanian stated that producer Venkatesh would be paying up a fair share of the losses although he is not much keen on this. It has to be recalled that in the case of Rajinikanth’s Baba, the entire amount was compensated but it looks like it may not happen this time with Lingaa.
