New Delhi: Romantic comedy "Love Ke Funday", slated to release on July 22, has been given an 'A' certificate by the censor board. Its producer says it's so because of bold scenes and dialogues in the film, which delves into the antics of today's youth.

"Our film has been given an 'A' certificate because the censor board feels that it has a lot of bold scenes as well as dialogues. But ultimately only the viewer will be able to say whether it is good or bad on the Friday when it is releasing," producer Faaiz Anwar said in a statement.

"Love Ke Funday" is produced by Anwar and Prem Prakash Gupta under the banner of FRV Big Business Private Limited. Written and directed by Indervesh Yogee, the film is based on the lives and times of today's college-goers.

The cast comprises fairly new names like Shaleen Bhanot, Rishank Tiwari, Ritika Gulati, Sufi Gulati, Harshvardhan Joshi, Samiksha Bhatnagar, Rahul Suri and Pooja Bannerjee. But Anwar believes its power lies in its content.

"A film becomes a big hit not because of the stars but on the basis of its story, content, editing and direction, though there is no doubt a big star helps a film fetch a very good opening. Our film has been made and also publicised in a big way," he added.
