Lyca to produce Indian 2

Indian 2 featuring Kamal Haasan under the direction of Shankar was announced recently. It was also mentioned that Telugu producer Dil Raju would be funding this venture which would be made as a trilingual in Tami, Telugu and Hindi.

However, there appears to be a change in the producer now. Looks like Lyca will be bankrolling this prestigious venture and not Dil Raju. The reason for the change is not known and perhaps an official announcement would soon come in. The rapport that Shankar has established with Lyca in 2.0 could be a reason for their association to continue.

Meanwhile, the DoP of this venture is Ravi Varman who is known for his mastery in his craft. His arresting visuals were a great plus in the recently released Mani Ratnam’s film Kaatru Veliyidai.
