Lyricist Vaali critical

Veteran lyricist Vaali has been admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai and sources say that his condition is critical. Vaali has been hospitalized last month due to breathing difficulties and he has been put on ventilator support. Vaali’s film career spans more than five decades and he has written songs for heroes like MGR to Simbu. His latest lyrics for Anirudh’s Ethir Neechal have come in for much appreciation.

He has been very close to musicians like MSV, Illaiyaraja and AR Rahman. Several film personalities including Kamal Haasan and AR Rahman went to the hospital to visit him.
