5th Asiavision television awards announced

The Asiavision television awards 2013 were announced. Asiavision Award, the biggest in this field, based in Dubai, honours the talented artists, creative heads and the technicians behind some of the most popular and accomplished television programs that include entertainment shows, talk shows, informative programs, serials and news.

Karishma Kapoor was awarded the special honour of the ‘Pride of Bollywood’ for her contributions in the field of movies and media. T N Gopakumar, Chief Editor of Asianet News was selected as the ‘Pride of Malayalam TV Industry’.

R Sreekantan Nair of Surya TV won the Best Talk Show Award and Johny Lukose of Manorama News was selected as the Best Celebrity Interviewer (‘Nere Chowe’).

K P A C Lalitha (Life Time Achievement Award – ‘Thatteem Mutteem’ , Mazhavil Manorama), Asha Sarath (Outstanding Performance Award – ‘Kumkumappoovu’, Asianet), K K Rajeev (Best Serial Director – ‘Oru Penninte Katha’, Mazhavil Manorama) were also winners.

Poornima Indrajith was selected as the Best Anchor (‘Idavelayil’, ‘Katha Idhuvare’ – Mazhavil Manorama), Lakshmi Nair for the presentation of the Best Cookery Show (Kairali TV), and Maneesh Narayan as the presenter of the Best Movie Show (Indiavision).

Nikesh Kumar of Reporter TV was the Best News Analyst, Shani Prabhakaran of Manorama News was the Best News Presenter, and Dileep Kumar – Delhi of Indiavision was the Best Reporter. Siddique was the Best Judge in reality Show.

The awards will be given away on May 10th at a function held at Dubai.
