Director Priyadarshan makes his debut as an actor through Blessy’s ‘Kalimannu’. One of the leading directors of India, Priyadarshan dons the role of a film maker in ‘Kalimannu’.

Priyadarshan two scenes are shot at a private hospital at Cherthala. The movie stars Sweta Menon in the lead role. ‘Kalimannu’ narrates the bond shared between a mother and her baby before and after it is born.

Sweta Menon’s delivery being shot live on camera for the film has created much controversy. The movie is slated for June release.
