Jayasurya dons a Kathakali artist in 'English'

Jayasurya dons Sankaran, a Kathakali artist in Shyamaprasad’s ‘English’. Sankaran plays an illegal immigrant in London who is preoccupied with alienation and fear but readily endures them for the girl he loves.

Scripted by Ajayan Venugopalan, ‘English’ is about the life of the Malayali diaspora in London. The plot also delves into the universal themes of love, disappointment, longing, loneliness, and estrangement.

Along with Jayasurya, in the cast are Mukesh, Nivin Pauly, Nadiya Moidu, and Remya Nambisan. The entire film is shot in London.
