Mammootty to speak Kochi slang

Malayalam films now speak the local slang of the region where the movie takes place and many of these slangs have been presented interestingly by the directors and scenarists.

Mammootty who had successfully experimented with various dialects will next speak the Kochi slang for the movie ‘Manglish’. Mammootty plays a wholesale fish seller in this movie directed by Salam Bappu.

Earlier it was reported that the character of Mammootty speaks English necessarily and unnecessarily. But the director denied this and said that Mammootty’s character fears English and has to face many troubles due to his ignorance to use the language properly.

English actress Caroline Beck does the female lead as a tourist who knows only English. The story progresses when these two characters have to mingle with each other. The shooting of ‘Manglish’ is progressing in Fort Kochi and nearby places.
